Vehicles in Germany's Town Discovered Marked with Swastikas in Blood, Police State

Incident location Affected vehicle Local Law Enforcement
Police reported they were contacted by a resident who found a vehicle in Hanau covered with reddish liquid

Roughly 50 automobiles have been smeared with what appears to be human blood in the German city of Hanau in proximity to Frankfurt, as reported by law enforcement.

Automobiles, walls and postal boxes were defaced, sometimes with Nazi symbols, they reported in a release.

Law enforcement report they were contacted in the late hours on Wednesday evening, when a man discovered that a vehicle in the Lamboy district of Hanau had been marked with a reddish substance.

The substance had been placed in the form of a Nazi symbol, they reported.

Officers then discovered multiple other smeared automobiles and residential walls in the nearby vicinity.

Nazi symbols are banned in Germany under laws prohibiting the public display of symbols from the Nazi era.

Law enforcement say preliminary tests suggest the substance was likely human bodily fluid.

"At present there remains no lead as to its source; investigators are not yet informed of any physical harm in relation with the event," they stated.

Municipal representatives announced they were trying "to solve the mystery" and have asked to the residents for details.

A senior political figure said the attack rendered him speechless and had to be solved quickly.

"This incident strikes at the very heart of Hanau and reawakens the wounds of the right-wing terrorist attack five years ago," he posted on online, mentioning the killing of nine people by a shooter focusing on residents of foreign heritage in February 2020.
